Dr. Luyuan Fang Bestowed with Asian American Entrepreneurial Achievement Award by the Chinese Institute of Engineers
Seattle, WA (September 7, 2025): Dr. Luyuan Fang, Founder and CEO of Curative AI, has been named the winner of the Asian American Entrepreneurial Achievement Award, a prestigious honor recognizing visionary leaders who are driving innovation and impact across industries. The award celebrates Dr. Fang’s groundbreaking contributions to artificial intelligence in several verticals, and her serial entrepreneurial leadership in growing AI organizations into successful businesses at a global scale, and most recently in scaling Curative AI into one of the fastest-growing companies in Healthcare AI, redefining clinical decision support and revenue cycle management.
The Asian American Entrepreneurial Achievement Award is part of the Asian American Luminary Awards program, which is hosted by the Chinese Institute of Engineers (Seattle Chapter) and honors outstanding Asian American professionals and leaders with high achievements and contributions in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) within the Pacific Northwest. The awards also emphasize community engagement and mentorship, showcasing individuals who inspire and support others in their career paths.
“This award is not just a recognition of a moment in my career, but of a journey spanning many years of barrier-breaking work at the forefront of innovation. This award is not just for me, it is for the teams I have built and worked with, the mentors who have guided me, my family that is there for me every day, and the communities that have supported me along the way,” stated Dr. Fang. “This award is also a reflection of the incredible work being done at Curative AI – even though we are just getting started. Our mission is to bring AI-driven innovation to healthcare and this award only propels us forward and reinforces our belief that technology can transform patient care.”
Co-founded in 2024 by Dr. Fang, Curative AI is transforming the global healthcare system. It develops agentic platforms for healthcare systems, such as clinics, hospitals, and other healthcare-related clients. From patient scheduling to revenue cycle management to medical documentation, Curative AI’s mission is to solve real problems in healthcare and redefine the operation and delivery of care with an AI-first approach.
“At Curative AI, we are transforming the landscape of healthcare system our way. Curative AI is not a venture-backed, we are a revenue-backed company,” said Dr. Fang. “Since our inception, our funding model has been centered on rapid product development and delivery to early strategic customers, enabling us to achieve cash-flow positivity within our first 12 months. Today, we are backed by robust, sustainable revenues, and we are in the unique position to fuel our exponential growth by our revenues rather than depending on infusion of external capital, positioning us for low equity dilution, long-term sustainability, and greatest impact. We are especially proud of our achievement, which is rare in the AI startup industry, as AI has unprecedented transformational potential, yet remains notoriously difficult to monetize, with very few companies able to create a business model that leads to rapid profitability”.
Dr. Fang is recognized industry-wide as an AI-first leader, visionary, entrepreneur, and mover, having grown world-class AI and Data organizations from scratch, pioneered the AI-First mindset, and delivered and monetized game-changing AI platforms and solutions at massive scale four times, in three different verticals: in the Online Travel Marketplace, as Founder, VP, and Head of Expedia Group AI Labs; in Healthcare, as Chief AI Officer at Change Healthcare (now United Healthcare/Optum Insight); in the Prescription Drug Marketplace, as Chief AI and Data Officer at Prescryptive Health; and now at Curative AI, as CEO and Founder.
Prior to her executive roles, Dr. Fang held technical leadership positions at top-tier tech companies (AT&T, Cisco, Microsoft Azure, and eBay). Early in her career, she held research positions in AI and deep learning across Australia, Canada, and the U.S., working on neural networks for pattern recognition, speech, handwriting, image compression, and smart network management tools. She holds 10 US patents, with more pending, and has co-authored 20 IETF RFCs. A frequent speaker, keynote, and chair in major global AI and Networking tech conferences, she has over 100 publications spanning IEEE/ACM articles, conference papers, and industrial presentations.
